Hilfield lies in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty; the friary is bordered by Hendover Copse, managed by the Dorset Wildlife Trust; Batcombe Hill where you may see many butterflies including the Duke of Burgundy; we are also close to the Kingcombe Centre where the Dorset Wildlife Trust hold courses. |
